Will my Plate be scanned, or will I need to use the barcode scanner?
LPR (license plate recognition) is only available at select locations and will only scan if you are using express or monthly subscription (only at the location where you have a subscription). If you have a reservation at the location, your Express Pass will be blurred, so you won't be able to scan it by accident. Your plate won't scan because your express pass will be temporaly disabled for that location.
If you are parking with subscription, then it should work at both entry and exit as long as the location has LPR enabled.
If you're using express, then the exit will always work but the entry will only work if the user "opts in". If they do not opt in, then they will have to scan the MINT at entry but it will read the plate at exit.
If it is a reservation, then you will have to scan the barcode in and out, unless the reservation was made under the same email / account as a known express user that has the license plate already tied to the account
